Two little owls perching on a branch.
The base is CG's Angel's Breath, a very light creamy pink. The owls are orange and their wings are supposed to be a different shade of orange, but it can't really be seen from the picture.
Entering these little owls into @cassidylynnails 's nail art contest #showclyourpink. It's the first ever contest I'm entering. Hope I get chosen as one of the finalists!
Awesome Li Tying made awesome cupcakes again this week so I had to get one. Gave one to Cassy too, our exchange girl in Flare! This turtle cheesecake cupcake has chocolate, caramel cream, biscuit crumbs, and maple glazed roasted pecans crowning a warm and moist chocolate cake base. I can't find better cupcakes anywhere else in Singapore. (:

KB Shimmer Don't Teal Anyone

Second KB Shimmer Don't Teal Anyone!
Application was better as compared to Showgirl (my first KB Shimmer polish) and the polish with its glitter and everything came out evenly so yay! (:
A deep teal base with gold, teal, navy, blue and fuchsia glitter. I love love love the fuchsia glitter! The description mentioned that there was micro fuchsia bars but I couldnt spot them no matter how hard I tried... (I love the colour fuchsia) A thick shiny topcoat was needed for a pretty glossy end result. Yes I love my Seche Vite!
On a side-note, school has started and workload is starting to pile up. Two presentations and one report due next week. Sighhh. To all my fellow university friends, all the best and let's look forward to summer!

New Polishes For Me!

So my school had this mini flea called Unifunzaar from Tuesday to Thursday and me being a nail polish addict I bought some polish and other random stuff there.
3 new bottles of polish for me! CG's Angel's Breath, CG's Cherish and OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark.
Here's a swatch of CG's Cherish on my mum's hand hahah! The lighting isn't very good so the colour is a little off... :/
A few other stuff I bought from the flea as well. Two tubes of acrylic paint cos I was looking for something that I could use for stamping and the lady said these worked well. A roll of silver striping nail tape. And little plastic ribbons to stick on my nails. Can't wait to try them soon!
Went to Takashimaya with ZM on Tuesday night to take a look at the Hokkaido fair and we had our dinner there as well. Sorry this is so unrelated to nails but look at all the yummy food! Three different flavored fishcakes (crab, squid and scallop), two bottles of milk pudding (strawberry and chocolate flavored), a potato croquette, some fried noodle omelet and a squid rice.
Here's a close up of the squid rice!
I also bought a box of 4 mini cheesecakes home and a box of scallop crackers. Look at the cheesecake on display at the fair! Such a cute little bear, nobody would ever bear to eat it!
The crackers were packed really nicely too, all the nice Japanese packaging. (:

KB Shimmer Showgirl

Very first KB Shimmer polish! Showgirl!
(Please pardon the bad photo quality, I only have my camera phone to rely on... >< )
2 coats of polish and they're deep enough to cover almost completely, yet sheer enough for the glitter to be seen through each coat.
I love the rose glitter and little fuchsia glitter. Silver squares are larger and more visible, while the black hex glitter and black holo glitter can barely be seen but still looks nice as a whole anyway.
Application was okay and I was quite satisfied with the consistency of the glitters, unlike some other glitter polishes that I had to dig through the bottle and place them on my nail strategically for it to look even. A thick layer of Seche Vite top coat was needed to leave my nails smooth and glossy!

Day 28: Ombre (#NailArtDec by @californails)
Posting this pretty late since the blogger server was cranky and couldn't load the past two days. This one is a purple and pink ombre mani with a glittery accent nail, although my lousy camera phone couldn't capture the pink gradient very well.
